Administrations of student hostels proposed to introduce the service “Wake up call”. This implies a new technical standard developed a report on Monday, 20 August, “Izvestiya”.
According to experts, it can be really a necessary measure, as University students often miss the first couple or are late for it. According to the Dean of the faculty of sociology and political science of the Financial University under the government of the Russian Federation Alexander Shatilov, it’s annoying both teachers and heads of faculties.
“There were cases when heads of groups were forced to Wake their classmates, to those not slept through an important test or exam,” he said.
GOST “…Requirements for services and accommodation in hostels for students” also establishes other rules. For example, rooms must be designed on no more than four people, and ten students required at least one bathroom. Students are encouraged to give household appliances and first aid kit.
The administration, according to the document, can introduce additional paid services: Internet, TV, fitness room, safes, vending machines with drinks and snacks and more. Near to hostels proposed to build a Parking lot or garage.
The document will come into force on 1 March 2019.
Standards in Russia are voluntary, but based on them are developed normative-legal acts.
