Almost 400 pounds, “Embassy of cocaine” burned in the crematorium

In Argentina burned the cocaine that was found in one of the buildings of the Russian Embassy in Buenos Aires. The drugs were destroyed at a crematorium in the presence of the Minister of security of Argentina Patricia Bullrich and Russian Ambassador Dmitry Feoktistov, reports TASS.

According to the Minister, the operation was carried out — a stunning example of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries. “The operation lasted 14 months and at some point we thought they [the criminals] will not come for the goods that they realized that somebody got suspicious. However, all has passed successfully”, — said Bullrich.

About the operation on suppression of the channel of delivery of large quantities of drugs to the European market became known in the end of February. The Russian foreign Ministry announced that in December 2016 after the school at the Russian Embassy found 12 suspicious suitcases. They found 389 kilograms of cocaine. According to the FSB of Russia, the net weight of the drug was 362 pounds. For controlled delivery, it was replaced with flour and sent to the Russian diplomatic flight.

As a result, in Argentina, was taken into custody two accused of the case (Ivan Bliznyuk and Alexander Chica). On the territory of Russia arrested three people (Vladimir Kalmykov, Estimer Khudzhamov and Ali Abanov), another Kovalchuk — was detained and arrested in Germany.

The Russian foreign Ministry has repeatedly denied information about the possible involvement of diplomats for drug smuggling.
