Russia responded to new U.S. sanctions

In Russia have developed a response to the US ban on the export of dual-use goods. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the Ministry of industry and trade.

It is noted that inaccessible components on electronics are imported from South-East Asia. The Department also told about the plans to support businesses that fall under the ban.

According to the head of the Ministry Denis Manturov, by order of the Ministry of industry and trade of the domestic enterprises to develop high-tech products electronic-component base, unified under different requirements to a special instrument, or under the requirements of the space industry. Manturov noted that up to 2020 will create more than two thousand types of products that will be counterparts more than nine thousand foreign components.

On 13 August, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on possible retaliatory steps from Moscow, said that the fundamental is the principle of reciprocity.

Earlier it was reported that a new wave of sanctions, which the United States announced August 8, will affect the exports of electronics and a number of components and technologies from the oil and gas industry. The first block takes effect August 22, activating the second is scheduled for autumn. The authors of the document believe that Russia is responsible for the incident with the use of chemical weapons in the British Salisbury.
