Another Russian football club mired in debt

Players Kaliningrad “Baltika”, which is playing in the Football national League (FNL), are willing to boycott matches and training from-for debts under the salary. Reports about it “CHempionata”.

“The last salary paid to players for April. In may wages were not paid, and premiums have debts since last year. First the guys were going to boycott training, then games,” — said General Director of the Russian trade Union of football players (OPSF) Alexander Zotov.

According to him, the club has problems with a sponsor — “Kaliningrad amber plant”. However, Zotov said that the boycott by the players of games may lead to disqualification of the whole team. It is enough to miss the two games of the championship FNL.

On 11 August it was reported that the club of the Russian Premier League, “Anji” has debts to 248 million rubles. Due to financial difficulties the team was experiencing problems with payment of flights. It is possible that “Anzhi” will be removed from the tournament.

Before the season 2018/2019 two other Russian football club ceased to exist due to financial difficulties. They were the Permian “Amkar”, preserved at the end of the season 2017/2018 place in the Premier League and Tosno, who became the owner of the Cup of Russia.
