Russian pianist Ivan Bessonov was the winner of the competition of young musicians “Eurovision” (Eurovision Young Musicians). The live broadcast was held by the TV channel “Culture”.

For the award’s 16-year-old Russian struggled with five other performers: the Norwegian cellist Bergitte Ottestad, Slovenian violinist Nicola Panavice, Czech double bass player in the Indie Stivenom, German violinist Mira Foron and Hungarian saxophonist matte Bence.

Bessonov performed Tchaikovsky’s First piano Concerto. All the finalists performed with the Scottish Symphony orchestra.

The final competition was held in Edinburgh.
