Disney and Marvel Studios indefinitely suspend work on the third part of the Saga “Guardians of the galaxy”. About it reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Production was suspended in connection with the dismissal of James Gunn from his post as Director of the film. The crew decided to shut down because couldn’t find a new candidate for this place. Work on the film was planned to begin in early fall of 2018, and the shooting in January or February of 2019.
On 21 July it became known that the Studio Walt Disney was fired by James Gunn, who was working on the third part of “Guardians of the Galaxy”. It happened because of the scandal with provocative posts on Twitter, which he published around 2008 to 2011. In these, the filmmaker joked on themes of pedophilia, rape and AIDS. Later, the actors spoke in support of the dismissed Director.
“Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” was released in 2014 and 2017 respectively. The premiere of the third part was planned for 2020.
