Belarus is ready to provide Syria’s help in restoring the field of war. This was stated by President Alexander Lukashenko in a telegram to Bashar al-Assad, congratulating his colleague on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
“Minsk and Damascus share the view of the necessity of building a multipolar world”, — said Lukashenko. “As with appreciation today, one can observe, the war ends with the victory of the Syrian Arab army and society, United under your leadership, returns to normal life,” he added and assured that Minsk is ready to assist in rebuilding the country.
The civil war in Syria began in spring 2011. The main participants of the conflict — government forces, acting on the side of the incumbent President Bashar al-Assad; the so-called moderate opposition and Islamist groups (including the banned in Russia “Islamic state”), the members of which seized part of the territory of the country.
