Former Tottenham defender and England’s Gary Mabbutt shared the story about how he got attacked by a rat during a visit of the sportsman in South Africa. His words are quoted by The Telegraph.
The athlete was visiting daughter in the Kruger national Park. Animal snuck into the bed of a former football player and began to gnaw his foot. Because of its disease — Mabbut suffering from diabetes veteran felt no pain and found the only injury in the morning.
“She did a large enough hole in the finger reached the dice and ate the lower part of the foot,” said Mabbot. On returning to England he had to spend seven days in the hospital.
Mabbut played for Tottenham between 1982 and 1998. On account of the protector 27 goals in 477 appearances for the Londoners. In the England Mabbot held 16 meetings.
