On 23 March the national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has changed the method of estimating the money transferred by migrant workers to the country from abroad. In 2017 the volume of remittances amounted to about 9.3 billion dollars, 2 billion more than previously thought. “Private remittances — an important source of foreign currency for Ukraine”, — noted in the NBU.
