The head of Roskoshestvo Maxim Protasov proposed first Deputy Prime Minister Anton Siluanov to amend the standard for beer. It is reported by RBC with reference to the letter of Protasov.
In particular, it is proposed to include in the standard a methodology to distinguish beer from beer drink. According to Deputy Minister of industry and trade Viktor Evtukhov, the proposal of the head of Roskoshestvo will be considered by the government and “with high probability, the sustained”.
Experts believe that the adjustments to the legislation will help save the Russian market from legal counterfeiting and unfair competition. The participants of the market hardly will support this initiative, especially since the proposed technique has previously caused discontent of the industry.
To determine the proportions of raw materials in beer specialists Roskoshestvo want through the assessment of mass concentration of total nitrogen, which is contained in malt. In the brewing company “Baltika” stated that the quality of the beer for this criterion is not evaluated in any country in the world.
In mid-June, Roskoshestvo on behalf of the government of Russia has tested light beer on the Russian market on the eve of the world Cup. In the study, 40 samples none of the studied beverages are not received the highest rating for taste.
