Alexey Navalnyi: Anatoly Zhdanov / Kommersant
Against opposition leader Alexei Navalny initiated an administrative case on violation of order of carrying out of meeting (article 20.2 of the administrative code). He is detained and delivered in territorial Department of police, reported the press service of the main Department of MIA in Moscow.
The report did not specify what kind of event it is.
His ally Leonid Volkov wrote in his Twitter that the case involves unauthorized protest in January 2018 in the center of Moscow. Volkov claimed that the opposition was charged with “exotic” article 20.2 part 4 of the code of administrative offences (“Violations during the rally that resulted in harm to human health”), which is used very rarely.
Police detained Navalny on Monday morning, September 24, when he came out of detention center after 30 days of arrest. On the loose he spent just a few seconds.
On 9 September the uncoordinated opposition rally in Moscow, the police received several blows to the head, the offender was detained. The incident occurred during the conflict of protesters and the leader of LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, which provoked, humiliated by the crowd and hit one of them.
