In the Russian offices of tyre manufacturer Bridgestone were searched in the framework of the open criminal case. It is reported by RBC with reference to the press-Secretary of the Baltic customs Alina Schmidt.
The case was initiated on the fact of evasion of customs payments collected from organizations or natural persons, in especially large size.
The searches took place in several of the offices of Bridgestone in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Ulyanovsk. According to sources, in the Moscow office, located on Letnikovskaya the street, in a pre-event was attended by Coll. In Ulyanovsk, representatives of regulatory authorities came to the plant for the production of tires for passenger cars.
As reported in the company on the searches came “representatives of the Baltic customs”, but without police. Director of marketing for Bridgestone in Russia Vera Moshkina said that the reason of the visit is delivery of the equipment, carried out approximately three years ago. According to her, the company is ready to cooperate with customs officers.
Bridgestone has supplied tires for Formula 1 until 2010. The management stated that it did not see the correlation between the company’s commitment to produce durable tyres with the requirements of the racing, so stopped the sponsorship.
