Tsereteli fined for unauthorized construction

The Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow ruled to exact from the famous sculptor Zurab Tsereteli, the money spent by the Prefecture to eliminate unauthorized adjustment of a cultural monument of the XIX century. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

We are talking about the mansion Platon Zubov, which houses the Moscow Museum of modern art of Zurab Tsereteli. As told the news Agency in the press service of the Zamoskvoretsky court, the Prefecture has demanded to collect from sculptor 522 thousand rubles.

“The court ruled to satisfy the claim of the Prefecture,” — said the press Secretary of the court Liana Akhmetov.

The mansion Platon Zubov is located in the Volkov lane. Built in 1846 the building relates to the declared monuments of culture. Unauthorized rebuilding the mansion media in 2010 reported by the public movement “Arhnadzor.”

This is not the first case of claims of the city to Tsereteli regarding unauthorized construction. In 2015, the Prefecture of the Western district of Moscow filed a sculptor to the court to carry its owned outlets at the Kiev station. It was about a jewelry store, a pharmacy and a café.
