Angry women took to the street in lace lingerie because of the rape

A resident of Dublin (Ireland) took to the street in their underwear in protest against the accusation of rape victims. This reports the Metro.

In the action organized by the 26-year-old Stacy Ellen Murphy, the girls came out on the main street of Dublin, Grafton street in lace lingerie, belts for stockings and inscriptions on the chest “did not consent”.

Their protest is connected with the sensational case in which a man was accused of raping a 17-year-old girl. In court the lawyer of the accused showed the lace underwear of the victim and stated that it is possible to conclude if the victim was “willing to meet with someone that day”.

Irish politician Leo Eric Varadkar has promised to study the rules of the use of physical evidence in court. “No matter you are a woman or a man. If you are the victim of sexual harassment, you are not supposed to blame”, — he said.
