The Dutch fighter of the mixed style Alistair Overeem admitted that he knew nothing about his rival Sergei Pavlovich, with whom he will fight in the tournament of the ultimate fighting championship (UFC) in Beijing. He said this in an interview with the UFC.
“It’s his debut in the UFC, so for me he was unknown, so I had to type his name in Google to learn more about it,” said Overeem.
He stressed that despite the fact that he knew nothing about Pavlovich, immediately agreed to fight with him. “He has not suffered a single defeat, so the motivation is clearly all right,” added the Dutchman.
The fight between heavyweights Pavlovich and Overeem will take place on November 24. The main event of the evening will be meeting Curtis Blades and Francis Ngandu.
Overeem is known for his performances in the UFC, Pride and K-1. On account of the 38-year-old Dutchman 43 wins and 17 defeats in MMA.
