The head of the state border guard service (SBGS) of Ukraine Petro Cigital proposed to strengthen the security measures and to restrict the entry of some categories of citizens of Russia. He stated this at a meeting of the Council of national security and defense Council (NSDC), the live broadcast which led the TV channel “112 Ukraine”.
“I suggest that for some categories of citizens of the Russian Federation still restrict entry to the territory of Ukraine”, — he said, not specifying which groups of Russians will be affected by the ban. Cigital added that citizens of Ukraine are no restrictions on checkpoints in the country.
The head of the SBGS stressed that on the basis of “existing situation”, you need to navigate to the strengthened mode of protection of border and defense.
On the night of 26 November it became known that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the introduction of martial law in the country. The Verkhovna Rada should consider his proposal Monday at 17:00 GMT. If members will look favourably on this issue, Ukraine will be able to introduce labor conscription for all able-bodied citizens, to use the premises and equipment of the enterprises for needs of defence, to introduce a normalized provision of food and medicines, as well as to expropriate the citizens of any property for military purposes.
