The head of “LUKOIL” Vagit Alekperov called can not come to it on change women, reports RNS with reference to Bloomberg TV.
According to him, now as his potential successors, it considers only men as he in mind there are no women with the required capabilities.
Alekperov believes that this is due to the male-dominated nature of the oil industry. “Unfortunately, our industry as a whole never trained women professionals. Always ready men,” he explained.
However, the head of “LUKOIL” does not exclude that in the future the situation may change. According to him, the company works closely with universities in preparation of professionals and potential candidates for management positions, there are four women.
Alekperov earlier said that it was considering as potential successors to the “technology experts” from the oil industry. According to him, the change of leadership could happen in five years.
