From the state Duma by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Olga Golodets asked to make visa-free entry into the country for foreign participants and spectators of the winter Universiade, which will take place in Krasnoyarsk in the beginning of March, reports RIA Novosti.
“To provide for the maximum possible time period, so that the guests of our country had the opportunity to visit different regions,” — said in his letter to the Deputy from LDPR Vasily Vlasov.
The MP cited the example of the experience of last year’s world Cup, when the passport of fan (ID FAN) and tickets to the stadium served as the main documents for foreign guests.
Earlier, on 5 December, it was reported that in preparing for international competitions in Krasnoyarsk mounted smart and warm stay. The preparations for the games also involves the resettlement of people from dilapidated housing.
In November it was reported that the organization of the first Russian winter Universiade will spend 7.7 billion rubles in addition to already planned 46 billion.
