Five-time Olympic swimming champion Nathan Adrian has cancer. About this athlete said in his Instagram account.

The American said that after several tests the doctors discovered he had a malignant tumor of the testicle. According to Adrian, the cancer was detected early, the athlete has already started treatment and doctors have a positive prognosis. “In the coming weeks I’ll be back in the water and will continue to prepare for the Olympics in Tokyo,” said the swimmer.

Adrian was the Olympic champion five times. One gold medal he won in Beijing in 2008 and two in London 2012 and two in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Also he has an Olympic silver and two bronze. In the world Championships, Adrian won eight times.
