Russians jailed for attack on police and a grenade

The court sentenced the resident of Dagestan Zalim Umayev to 13,5 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony and a fine for assault on police and possession of a grenade. On Friday, January 25, TASS reported.

According to investigators, in the fall of 2017 at the train station of the city of Kizilyurt man attacked with a knife on the police and wounded one of them in the face. The law enforcement officers managed to detain the brawler, opening fire on it. Later during a search in his house was found a grenade.

31 August 2018 it was reported that a man stabbed two police officers during the arrest for disorderly conduct in the suburban town of Dzerzhinsk. Police injured, but disarmed the attacker. They have been previously convicted 27-year-old resident of Volgograd region.
