Russian journalist and host of the talk show “60 minutes” on the “Russia 1” Olga Skobeeva told about bullying Ukrainian politicians. One of the incidents caught on video, occurred during the events of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), reports RIA Novosti.
Skobeeva reported that the representative of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Borislav Birch insulted and pushed her. The journalist asked the Deputy to explain his behavior. Instead of answering, Birch said that he was surprised why Russia sends journalists to the PACE, if you don’t want to “give the Crimea.” According to her, he added that he “believes Skobeevo journalist,” and insulted her several times.
She noted that during the interview the Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Irina Gerashchenko also pushed one of the journalists. Skobeeva added that Birch “continues to behave in the same spirit,” tweeted the record with insults in its address.
She also noted the lack of response from the Western media on the incident. “Such behavior afford representative government, official. That is the power in the country was captured by the bandits and hooligans,” concluded Skobeeva.
This is not the first case when Skobeeva is faced with extraordinary reaction to the Ukrainian deputies trying to interview them. In October 2018 Ukrainian politicians sang their national anthem, when the journalist tried to make a report with them.
