The machine gun of the Russian tank T-14 “Armata” get a remote reloading, said the chief designer of small arms, gun direction “Degtyarev Plant” Andrey Monin.
“To allow the use of 7.62 mm tank machine gun (PKTM) outside of the fighting compartment (outside) of armored vehicles have been developed for the remote machine gun reloading. With it automatically (by an input from the operator) carries out primary production on the moving parts of a gun, cocked or reloaded upon receipt of misfires”, — said the expert.
According to him, further streamlining of the electric trigger of the gun in his seal, which eliminates water intrusion into the electric trigger if precipitation or overcoming water obstacles.
In September last year it was reported that T-14 “Armata” get a new guided missile, the armor penetration which is twice the thickness of armor of an American M1 Abrams main tank.
In July, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said that Russia’s Armed forces do not tend to massively purchase tanks T-14 “Armata” because of their high cost, preferring to increase the combat potential of the military equipment due to its modernization.
