The EU and Belarus will soon sign an agreement on simplification of visa regime. On Saturday, January 26, said the head of the EU delegation in the Republic of Andrea Wiktorin, reports Naviny.by.
Quizzes noted that the parties continue to work on the agreement on partnership priorities, which are unable to sign until the end of 2018. “I also have optimism about the agreement on simplification of visa regime. I think soon it will be signed,” — said the diplomat.
Quizzes noticed that in the three years since her appointment, the political dialogue between Belarus and the EU has expanded and become more active.
The EU will ensure that Belarus has been an independent and sovereign state and develop democracy. Therefore, the issues of human rights will remain Central in the agenda, said Victorine. “We want to have more information about what the EU does for the benefit of the Belarusian people”, — the diplomat added.
On 14 January the Minister of foreign Affairs of Belarus Vladimir Makei said Minsk and Washington are discussing the possibility to expand the mutual diplomatic presence and return of ambassadors.
Last year, Russia decided to tax maneuver in the oil industry, then oil will be supplied to Belarus at world prices. The President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko has stated that if the parties do not reach agreement on compensation, then Moscow will lose the only ally in the Western direction.
