Russia increased exports of agricultural machinery by 40 percent

Russian agricultural enterprises for 2018 increased exports by 40 percent to 11 billion rubles. This was stated by the Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov, reports “News Economy”.

According to him, today the Russian combine harvesters is about 15 percent of the global market, and high power tractors up to 25 percent. Novak predicted that the export volume of agricultural machinery in the next five years will continue to grow, by 2024 this figure is expected to grow 2.5 times. “We will be able to increase the share of exports in the sector to at least 50% of the value of shipments to the domestic market,” — said the Minister.

According to the Ministry of agriculture, Russia in recent years, increasing its exports of food. However, this happens mainly due to the growth of grain exports, which accounts for about a third of all exports. Total exports in 2017 was delivered of products by 20.7 billion, an increase of 21.1 per cent. According to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s becoming a modern agricultural power, becoming a strong player on the market.
