Head of Department of regional security and combating corruption Moscow Vladimir Chernikov died in the night of Sunday, January 27. This was reported “Interfax” citing a source familiar with the situation.

“Chernikov, head of the Department since October of 2016, died in the night,” — said the Agency interlocutor.

The Agency TASS in the city hall explained that the preliminary cause of death was acute cardiovascular failure.

Vladimir Chernikov was born in 1964. The Moscow mayor’s office has worked since 2010. He headed the Department of media and advertising, then the Department netzpolitik, interregional relations and tourism.
