In Yekaterinburg at the age of 92 years died a Soviet politician Alexander Tizyakov. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

In 1988, Tizyakov headed the Association of state enterprises and industrial, construction, transport and communications of the USSR, Later he became Vice-President of the Scientific-industrial Union of the USSR.
From 18 to 21 August 1991 Tizyakov was a member of the State emergency Committee. After the failure of the coup he was arrested on charges of conspiracy against the state. In January 1993 he was released in February 1994 Amnesty.
January 9 at the age of 88 years died last Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, member GKCHP Anatoly Lukyanov.
