FSB investigator stole from evidence 12 kilos of gold

In the Magadan region began the trial about the disappearance of the regional Department of the Federal security service (FSB) of Russia’s 12 kilos of gold. On Monday, January 28, reports “Kommersant”.

As noted, gold nuggets were evidence in several criminal cases about the illegal mining of precious metals. The consequence considers that the gold in 2013-2015 kidnapped major General Konstantin Kostenko, while the investigator of the FSB. The trial in a closed regime is in Pacific naval military court.

Initially, the accused was placed under house arrest, but later Kostenko was placed in jail: the investigation insisted that he and his relatives are trying to interfere with the investigation. The accused himself denies his guilt. His lawyer noted that Kostenko did not find any gold nuggets or large sums of money from the possible sale of gold.

The lawyer said that nothing expensive his client has also acquired data on this.

29 October 2018 it was reported that in Yakutia detained a man with a backpack, where bullion and gold powder on tens of millions of rubles.
