The children returned to Russia from Iraqi prisons, where with their mothers, came under the influence of the terrorist organization “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia), have problems when applying to schools because of insufficient level of knowledge. On Monday, January 28, said presidential Commissioner for children’s rights Anna Kuznetsova, reports TASS.
According to the Ombudsman, the older children having difficulty due to the fact that their level of knowledge “does not always correspond to age, and therefore requires additional classes”. In addition, said Kuznetsova, the children who were separated from their mothers must undergo social adaptation.
The Commissioner also added that many children have health problems. “From simple colds [diseases] — rhinitis, bronchitis — to those that require medical attention and support,” she explained.
As explained Kuznetsova, now the returned children live with relatives in the Russian regions and have all the necessary documents.
At the end of December 2018 from Iraq to Russia delivered 30 children from Dagestan, Chechnya, Moscow and Penza, which were kept in Iraqi prisons. Just last year he had over 90 women and children from Syria and Iraq. As promised the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the authorities will continue to work to return children to Russian citizens.
In February 2017, Putin said that Syria is fighting about nine thousand fighters who came there from the former CIS countries. As a result, over the last few years the territory controlled by ISIS, was removed more than a thousand Russian wives and children whose husbands and fathers had been recruited by the terrorists.
