The incidence of influenza and SARS in St. Petersburg is growing, and may start an epidemic, the official publication of the city government with reference to the head of surveillance control of local Rospotrebnadzora Irina Chingari.

According to Chenjerai, now in the city from 1.5 to 2.5 thousand cases of SARS in a week. There has been a gradual dynamic increase in the epidemic threshold, and during the week it can be exceeded.

The chief physician of the Botkin hospital Alexei Yakovlev noted that since the third week of January in place of the H1N1 flu came the “epidemic” of H3N2. He predicts that this trend will continue next week. Hospitals deployed additional beds for grippaldi, including children.
