Russian students will restore monuments in Syria

Russian students can help in the restoration of historical monuments in Syria. This initiative was made by the finalist of the contest “Leaders of Russia” from Ekaterinburg Igor Dubrovin, writes “Ura.ru” on Monday, January 28.

“I decided that it would be well and good if we help our students, undergraduates, graduate students of specialized universities to visit Syria to get acquainted with its cultural objects, Museum collections, to communicate with colleagues,” said Dubrovin, presenting the project as part of the competitive quest “the Heart of a leader”.

According to him, the University students will be able to visit the ancient cities such as Palmyra and Aleppo.

According to the Agency, a preliminary agreement on the admission of Russian students to the architectural objects has been achieved. Coordination is carried out with the representatives of the Syrian Ministry of culture.

It is expected that the first trip within the framework of the project will take place in the summer.

As part of the job “the Heart of a leader” the contestants have to formulate and implement socially-oriented initiative not later than February 21.

The winners of the first competition were 103 people, many of them occupied important leadership positions. High evaluation of the event expressed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. This year the contest was able to engage people from around the world.
