Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov denied media reports that the Russian side ensured the safety of the elected President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro. On Monday, January 28, reports “Interfax”.
A Kremlin spokesman said that no information about the alleged flight of the aircraft special flight detachment “Russia” in South America. “We dispatch functions of the aircraft do not carry out”, — quotes its TASS.
Peskov also denied contacts of the Kremlin with the leader of the Venezuelan opposition Juan Guido, declared himself President of the Republic.
Before the press Secretary of the Russian leader has denied the information about sending in Venezuela 400 fighters. Peskov added that the situation in the country aggravated by the U.S. interference.
On 23 January amid mass orthopedic interventions, the speaker of Parliament of Venezuela Juan Guido proclaimed himself President. It is recognized by the US, Canada, several countries in Latin America. Moscow supports President Nicolas Maduro.
