Browder said there are three ways to combat the Russian “dirty money”

Founder of the British investment Fund Hermitage Capital Management, William Browder, suggested that the EU three way fight with the Russian “dirty money”. He told about it at meeting of the special Committee of the European Parliament for the investigation of financial crimes and tax evasion. It has been broadcast on the legislature’s website.

In July, the Estonian Prosecutor’s office started an investigation at the request of Browder. He accused the Estonian Danske Bank in laundering Russian money. The Supervisory authority found that 26 employees of the Bank has created criminal group for these purposes through them it took about 13 billion dollars of dubious origin.

Magnitsky was arrested in 2008 and in 2009 he died in a Moscow prison “Matrosskaya Tishina”. After that, the U.S. adopted the “Magnitsky act”, which includes sanctions on Russians allegedly involved in the death of lawyer and human rights violations.
