The government will amend the major infrastructure projects or even to cancel them, writes RBC with reference to sources in the Cabinet.
According to the publication, the matter will be considered at the meeting of the government Commission on transport, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov. Officials will discuss the implementation details of a comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of backbone infrastructure, the total cost of the projects exceeds six billion rubles.
Analytical center for the government has prepared a methodology of making changes in the plan. Under the changes include adding new projects or interruption of current. It is assumed that pause already implemented projects will be possible in the case of significant excess of cost over the originally stated, missed deadlines or non-compliance of technical specifications requirements. Also, the reason may be the failure of the contractor to allow object inspection or to provide the authorities with the required information.
Suggestions about the freezing can make the head of the Federal project (this status is endowed with several tens of projects from the plan) or the head of a special monitoring center.
Comprehensive plan for the development of backbone infrastructure was developed in the summer of 2018, Ministry of economic development. It included about 700 projects worth 6.8 trillion rubles. The final, reduced version of the plan approved by the government, estimated at 6.3 trillion.
