China’s Huawei accused of industrial espionage

The US has formally charged the Chinese company Huawei of industrial espionage. About it reports Reuters.

In particular, the company is suspected of stealing information about technology that the American T-Mobile used for audits of smartphones.

Acting U.S. attorney Matthew Whitaker during a press conference said that the charges brought against the company, its subsidiaries, Huawei Device USA and Skycom, as well as against man Wanzhou CFO of Huawei, and daughter of the founder of Huawei. In turn, the head of the FBI Christopher ray said that the charges do not relate to the Chinese leadership.

Meng Wanzhou was arrested in Canada in December 2018 at the request of the United States. Currently Washington is seeking her extradition. After her arrest in China have been arrested several citizens of Canada, a canadian sentenced to death in Dalian.
