Law enforcement officers detained the Vice-Governor of Leningrad region Oleg Kovalev. On Tuesday, January 29, reports 47news.ru.

According to a source publication, Koval’s detention might be related to his work in the structures of Gazprom before joining the government of the region. Currently, the government conduct searches by the FSB.

Koval’s detention was confirmed by the press service of the regional administration, noting that the official is in holiday. He was detained in his own apartment.

Oleg Koval came into the government of the Leningrad region in 2015, the post of Vice-Governor, he oversees the housing.
