Residents of Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) and its environs were forbidden to fish in the Metropolitan waters. About it reports radio “Azatlyk”.
The prohibition referred to reservoirs and three lakes located in the vicinity of the Turkmen capital. It is assumed that the ban is associated with a decline in the number of fish in the ponds. Sources “Azatlyk” reported that the capital’s reservoirs and lakes are widely used unemployed Turkmens for their food. “People because without a job, mostly fish,” — said the correspondent.
In addition it is reported that in Leporskoy region in the East of Turkmenistan to the people forbidden to graze cattle near the reservoirs. “People are afraid that after one warning to jail without trial” — said in the message.
The newspaper reminds that in the conditions of economic hardship in the country is individual, fishing is the source of livelihood for some groups of the population. The state limits the opportunities for private fishing, the country is experiencing a shortage of fish products.
