Rauf, Arashukova: Valery sharifulin / TASS
The investigation has information about the involvement of Senator Rauf Arashukov to two murders. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Senator suspected of committed in 2010 murder of Chairman of the public youth movement “Adyge-Khase” of Karachay-Cherkessia Aslan Zhukov and presidential adviser Karachay-Cherkessia of Frala Shebzukhova.
Arashukova gave evidence against three people accused in the killings. During interrogations, they called the Senator by the customer, reported in September 2018 RBC with reference to the available copies of the minutes of the interrogation. Alleged perpetrators reported that Arashukov allocated 500 thousand rubles to “intimidate and beat” Shebzukhova, and 1 million rubles for the murder of Zhukov.
Relatives of the victims sent a written petition to prosecute Arashukova for the murder of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, the Director of FSB Alexander Bortnikov, and Prosecutor General Yury Chaika and Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
Previously, on 30 January it was reported that Arashukova detained in the conference room of the Federation Council.
He was endowed with the powers of a member of the Federation Council on 8 September 2016, becoming the youngest member of the upper house of the Russian Parliament — at the time he was 30 years old.
