Maduro refused to speak about the Russian security and relying on God

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has refused to answer the question about the Russians among his guards and relied on God. Such a statement he made in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On the question of how does he expect the new attempt, Maduro said, “My fate is in the hands of the Lord.” In addition, he noted that it protects the people of Venezuela.

At the same time the head of state refused to comment on the presence of the security service of the Russians. “Can’t say. No comment. Not comment on anything”, — he said.

Previously, on 30 January, Maduro said that is not going to hold new presidential elections before 2025, despite the ultimatum of “imperialists” from the European Union.

23 January amid mass protests, the speaker of Parliament of Venezuela Juan Guido proclaimed himself President. It is recognized by the US, Canada and several countries in Latin America. Moscow has supported Maduro. Russian President Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation with a colleague which was held on 24 January, called a violation of international law, the intervention of other countries in the situation in the Republic. He also urged to resolve the issue peacefully.
