After the introduction of sanctions against Russia have left the country 1.3 million German companies, reports “Interfax” words of the Chairman of the Eastern Committee of German economy Wolfgang Buchele.
He recalled that five years ago in Russia there were about six thousand companies with German capital, by 2018, their number has decreased to 4.7 thousand. As stressed by Buchele, “decisive players” left.
He said that “nobody wants to leave Russia”, but that can happen in the case of the introduction Washington’s new sanctions unpredictable. “The crisis in Ukraine, unfortunately, still not solved, and the relations between Russia and the EU deteriorated for a number of reasons,” — said the Chairman of the Committee.
In mid-January Buchele assessed the damage to the anti-Russian sanctions, 100 billion euros, and urged German business to continue cooperation with Russia.
