White bear named Ursula, found in autumn in the streets of the polar village of Dixon, for three months of living in the Krasnoyarsk zoo had gained weight and stopped being afraid of people, writes “Komsomolskaya Pravda” with reference to the press service of the Park flora and fauna “Roev Ruchey”.
According to representatives of the Park, before Ursula avoided meeting with the man and tried to hide. Now she enjoys visitors, and especially the Park staff who are caring for her and doing training.
Now the bear is prepared to “move” to a new enclosure and train. “Baby animals, also, as all children need to learn. To bear and zoologist understood each other, they must often sit and chat, you must teach the animal to perform various commands, treating the treat as a reward. Otherwise, how to explain that you need to move to an adjacent cage or, for example, to summon him to explore? Hard work gives the result: bear at the request of the zoologist rises to his full height, stretches a paw,” — said the press service.
Earlier in January, residents of the village of ryrkaypiy in Chukotka found a starving polar bear cub left without mother, and began to feed him and was not allowed into the village so you don’t have to send him to the zoo.
