Association football United Arab Emirates (UAE) intends to appeal against the defeat of his team from Qatar (0:4) in the semifinals of the Asian Cup. It is reported by The New York Times.
The national team of Qatar was accused of engaging under the banners of two athletes who were born outside of the state and not live on the territory of Qatar laid five years after reaching 18 years of age.
22-year-old striker Almaas Ali was born in Sudan, a 21-year-old defender Basim al-Rawi in Iraq. The Asian football Confederation confirmed that this protest has received, and examines the claim of the UAE.
January 29, Qatar defeated UAE, reached the final of the Asian Cup. Striker Ali scored one of the goals against the UAE team. In the final, the Qatari team will meet with the Japanese. The meeting will be held on February 1.
