Retail sales of beer for 2018 decreased. This was reported in the National Union of consumer protection whose data leads “Interfax”.
Despite the world Cup, beer sales amounted to 722,2 million decaliters (dal), is 0.2 percent lower than in 2017. In Moscow, the sale of alcoholic drink fell by 43.7 per cent to 49.3 million dal. In the Moscow region, on the contrary, rose by 14.3% and amounted to 47.9 million dal.
Also fans of beer in 2018 were residents of the Primorsky territory, where sales of the drink increased by half to 23.7 million dal. Indicators produced beer for 2018 exceed the data for 2017 at 2.4 per cent, to $ 775 million gave.
Briefly, the growth of demand for beer was caused by the world Cup. The competition has spurred the demand, resulting in the sale of alcoholic drink rose by eight percent, but in the future they again went into decline.
