It is worth to take seriously the statement of the governing naval operations US Navy Admiral John Richardson, called on to strike first in Russia and China. About this he wrote in his Facebook head of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev.
He explained that this “bravado” is not “another stupidity, another American military”, as Richardson — a senior representative of the U.S. army, his words no one disavowed, and that they comply with the prevailing Washington mood of impunity.
“This is the most dangerous: “varyas in its own juice” policy and the U.S. military simply, as they say, “losing the shore” — cease to perceive the world, to distinguish the great powers from small, nuclear from non-nuclear, are in full confidence that the possession of power has a right to its use,” — said Kosachev.
Richardson proposed strike first, Russia and China in response to the question about the U.S. capability to fight back “aggressively to seize land and power.” He stressed that the attack is possible only after attempts to fix everything diplomatically.
On 2 February the US announced the suspension of its participation in the Treaty on the elimination of intermediate and shorter-range missiles (INF Treaty), accusing Russia of non-compliance. The process of breaking the agreement is six months. 6 February the US Deputy Secretary of state for arms control and international security issues Andrea Thompson stated that country after leaving it will build prohibited missiles.
In Moscow responded to the US decision mirrored the action and once again rejected all allegations of noncompliance with the INF Treaty. On 7 February the Deputy foreign Minister stressed that Russia will not allow itself to be drawn into new arms race, but will not abandon its security.
The INF Treaty does not allow parties to have ballistic missiles, land-based and cruise missiles with ranges between 500 and 5.5 thousand kilometers. Moscow and Washington have regularly accused each other of violating its terms.
