Olympic champion died at the age of 30 years

German athlete Maximilian Reinelt competing in rowing, died on 31-m to year of life. It is reported by BBC Sport.

The athlete died on February 10. Cause of death Reinelt not called. In the German national team he twice became the world champion. Also, along with him the national team four times, won gold at the European Championships.

Reinelt was a member of the German national team in rowing in the eight at the Olympic games in London, held in 2012. Then the Germans managed to win the gold medal.

Four years later Reinelt performed at the Olympic games in Brazil, where he won silver. In 2016, the athlete was awarded the “Silver Laurel leaf”, the highest sports award in Germany. And from the beginning of 2019, Reinelt began to work as a doctor in the national team athletes up to 23 years.
