According to Kabulov, in the future the status of the Taliban will depend on the actual actions of the movement members in the “national reconciliation”.
The special representative recalled that the decree of the President of Russia about recognition of the Taliban as a terrorist organization was released immediately after the adoption of the relevant resolution of the UN Security Council. “It is the obligation of any state to take such measures. If the Security Council adopted another resolution, respectively, will decree and the Russian leadership”, — he explained.
Earlier Tuesday, Kabulov said Moscow was ready to facilitate the lifting of sanctions by the UN Security Council with the Taliban. In his opinion, limiting diplomatic maneuver of the representatives of the movement to achieve peace in the region impossible.
