Ukrainians filled the pension Fund of Poland

About one million Ukrainian citizens make contributions to the pension Fund of Poland. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the report of the social insurance system (ZUS) of the Republic.

“About 1.5 million workers from abroad, mainly from Ukraine, have their bills and make pension payments”, — quotes Agency the extract from the report “Foreigners in the Polish social security system”.

According to Polish statistics, the largest number of migrants coming not from other EU countries and from former Soviet republics — Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Russia. From European countries the main provider of migrants in Poland and Romania.

The majority of migrants were men aged 20 to 49 years, accounted for 67.3 percent of the total flow. However, three of the four foreigners, according to statistics ZUS, come from Ukraine and work in the Masovian, greater Poland and Silesian voivodeships.

Polish authorities say that in ten years the number of migrants registered in the pension Fund increased almost tenfold, from 65 thousand foreigners in 2008 to 569,1 thousands of people in 2018. The main growth occurred in the period from 2014, i.e. after the revolution in the Ukraine, for four years, the number registered in the system of foreigners grew by 444,8 thousand people.

Most often in Poland, the newcomers are working in processing industry, construction, transport and storage facilities. According to ZUS, the labor migrants pay insurance premiums to the Pension Fund of more than $ 3 billion zlotys per month (about 0,79 billion). The average salary of a foreigner in Poland is 2.6 thousand zlotys (about 685 dollars, or 45 thousand rubles) per month.
