Russian President Vladimir Putin plans the evening of February 14 to get on the Mat together with the national team of Russia on judo, the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.

Putin is engaged in martial arts since age 11, has the title of master of sports in judo and Sambo. In 2006 he became the honorary President of the European judo Union, and in 2010 received a diploma of “Doctor in judo” South Korean University ENIN. He has a black belt in karate.
The Russian leader skier and enjoys playing hockey. The day before he swept to ski on the Sochi track together with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
