A tourist complained to Thomas Cook airlines for humiliation by employees of the carrier, considering her outfit is too revealing, writes Metro.
21-year-old Emily O’connor was supposed to fly from Birmingham to Tenerife with five brothers, but after boarding the plane the staff of the carrier forbade her to be on Board in an improper clothing. They asked her to wear a jacket, and at first the girl refused, stating that her outfit there is nothing vulgar, however, employees began to frighten her.
“They said they will remove me from the flight if I did not cover up — says the Briton. — I felt that these people are sexist and misogynistic”.
It was surrounded by security guards and the Manager of the airline and demanded to get dressed and insulted in front of other passengers. “I had to wear the jacket my cousin, who was sitting in the front of the plane. Because of the incident the flight was delayed for 20 minutes, My vacation was ruined. I was trembling with shame,” said O’connor.
After the incident, the girl conducted a survey on social networks to figure out whether her outfit really that indecent. She was wearing a black crop top and dark orange pants with a high waist. 82 percent of respondents disagreed with the staff of Thomas Cook. Then the British issued a survey and asked the airline an apology.
In February, a similar situation happened with a girl from Melbourne. The flight attendant Jetstar called the outfit the 28-year-old Shoshana Strykert too Frank and told her to fly like this.
