A bulk carrier with a cargo of metal ran aground in the Kerch Strait. About the Agency RIA Novosti reported in the Rosmorrechflot.
Clarifies that the incident occurred on March 13. During platooning, the freighter sat on the edge of the Kerch-yenikalsky channel.
According to the information portal MarineTraffic, the ship departed from the Ukrainian port of Mariupol on 11 March, and was due to arrive in the Italian Venice on the 20th.
Currently the ship is anchored. Threat of life of people and the environment is not fixed. Shipping in the area is in normal mode.
In December 2018, the Russian freighter “Kuzma Minin” ran aground near the British port of Falmouth. After it was removed from the rocks, the ship was in port. The British held the ship until there was an investigation of the incident and repair — during the accident had damaged the fuel tank of a bulk carrier. Later the ship was arrested for the debts of the shipowner.
