Russian President Vladimir Putin sees no grounds for a case against the head of investment Fund Baring Vostok American Michael Calvey could adversely affect the investment climate in the country. This told the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, quoted by TASS.
“The President’s position is the following: this case should not be linked to investment climate in Russia as a whole and should not have a negative impact, Russia was, is and will be interested in international investors and intends to do everything possible to create comfortable working conditions,” — said Peskov.
At the same time Putin does not see sense to publicly comment on this case while working the investigation. Also Peskov acknowledged that the refrain of the case against the head of Baring Vostok was discussed at a recent forum of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs (RSPP), however, specific questions on this topic were not.
